You should also check if your blog topic is profitable and what revenue streams you can link. Options include: 

  • Affiliate marketing, where you advertise products on behalf of other brands and get paid a commission each time you are responsible for a sale
  • Advertising, where you earn commission every time users click on banner ads
  • Membership or subscription fees to access exclusive content
  • Direct sale of products and services, supported by your blog

You can also use a combination of strategies to monetise your blog. For each money-making opportunity, write down how much monthly income you could realistically generate and then add them up.
